What (a) Wonderful World?
(A Deep Dive Into Systemic Racism)

March 17 at 2pm / Lunenburg Library, room 103
Special guests in attendance

In 2022, a group of diverse neophyte filmmakers came together to create a documentary. They learned “how to outsmart their smartphones,” along with the guidance of experienced filmmakers from Empowerful Productions. These novice videographers sought out thinkers in the community to discuss systemic racism. Inspired by Louis Armstrong’s song “What a Wonderful World,” this documentary not only helps us understand systemic racism, but explores solutions that will benefit us all.

What (a) Wonderful World was directed by a number of diverse participants working along with representatives of Membertou Heritage Park, Delmore Buddy Daye Learning Institute and Empowerful Productions. Their purpose was to create a documentary on systemic racism which could lead to meaningful discussions.
