Lunenburg Cultural Action Plan

The Town of Lunenburg has a vibrant arts and culture history that is still going strong today. There hasn’t always been a plan to promote this part of our community – but there is now!

A comprehensive Lunenburg Cultural Action Plan (LCAP) was developed with input from artists, businesses, cultural organizations, and community members, by the consulting firm Janis Barlow & Associates, over a period of more than a year, ending June 2020.

The project was initiated by the Lunenburg Foundation for the Arts and funded by the Nova Scotia Government Department of Communities, Culture & Heritage, the Town of Lunenburg and the Lunenburg Foundation for the Arts. The overall goal is to support the growth of the cultural sector of Lunenburg through greater promotion, cooperation, and celebration of what we have to offer.

Members of the arts, culture and heritage organizations, have come together as the Lunenburg Cultural Collective, to work on implementation of the LCAP recommendations.

We’re excited about the plan!

We are a registered charity working hard to ensure a vibrant future for the arts in Lunenburg County. 100% of the funds we raise go directly towards supporting projects by emerging and established artists in the form of grants and bursaries.

Help us help them by donating today!
